Boy, that was a mouthful. Good thing I don’t have my titles that long all the time – Twitter would ban my updates for sure (or people would think I never finish anything…)

OK, the reason I got inspired to write this was exactly what was in my in-box – another endorsement (read: affliliate link) for someone I hadn’t heard of before and how many glowing testimonials with some incredible, don’t-pass-now offer reduced for a limited time

Like I’d never seen these before.

Actually, I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’ve been opting out of way more mailing lists than I join now days. Usually right after the first worthless offer.

Because these guys are in the same ego trap as their customers – and you can tell in the way they are writing.

You have to ask yourself – what’s all this money for? Sure, having good health is a near necessity – but are you trying to be perfectly healthy all the time, or would minor aches and pains every now and then (like sore from playing a long game of tennis, or being tired after tromping around in the woods all day keeping up with grand children – would those be acceptable?)

Charles Haanel held that money was only a symbol, and that chasing a symbol would cause it all to disappear. Money only stands for what you did to get it. Earl Nightingale said at least once that money only says how much value you’ve been giving others.

Figure that people who only are telling people how to get all the money they want, all the success they can stand – these people are caught up in the same trap.

They’re all symbol-chasing. Why? So the people around you will think better of you?

When you don’t have to take any medicine, and all your bills are paid for months at a time, then what?

And when you get along with the people you like and the other ones mostly leave you alone, then what relationships are you still needing to improve?

The question you want to ask yourself is: “What happens when I get there?”

All God's Children are Kahunas… http://robertworstell.com/sedona-method/gods-children-kahunas/#utm_source=feed&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=feed http://robertworstell.com/sedona-method/gods-children-kahunas/#comments Thu, 01 Apr 2010 03:20:43 +0000 Robert Worstell http://robertworstell.com/?p=999 personal development What next after you get all the wealth, happiness, health, and general success you want?

You know, we are all Masters in our own right. True. Just look inside and you see the perfection that you are.

The ancient Polynesians had is completely right. Nowadays, when you say Kahuna, you either think of some surfer dude who always beats everyone else out in the competitions – or some mystic healer who can fire-walk, control nature, and maybe raise the dead.

But “Kahuna” always met something like “keeper of the secret”, although that is a very loose translation (suitable for us haole’s who don’t speak a word of it). There were kahuna’s for every trade and business and activity. Our use would be mentor – as you would seek out these experts if you wanted to learn that skill or art. (Fishing kahuna’s, weaving kahuna’s, gardening/farming kahuna’s, etc.)

And so, originally, there were kahunas all over the place. (Check out wikipedia for both these terms.)

It is even so today. Masters (kahunas/mentors) of any trade actually abound. Our approach with the Sedona Method or releasing technique, is to enable everyone to master themselves as well.

My approach, different from most, is to tell you that you don’t have to have a lot of money, or sexual partners, or servants, or impeccable health to be a complete success. You don’t have to control vast estates of property and hundreds or thousands of employees to be a success. But certainly, you need to be free of having to have approval from anyone else about what makes your success.

For the only person who can weigh in on your level of success is you. You either are doing what you want to do in life, or you aren’t. And the only one who sets the decisions about what you should and shouldn’t be doing is you.

That is the freedom which Sedona Method release technique brings – to be able to be, do, and have anything you want. You don’t have to have money or prowess in order to accomplish whatever it is you want today.

If you want to stay at home and home-school the kids while maintaining the household, then that’s perfectly fine. So is flying airplanes for a living. Anything you want to do that isn’t hurting anyone else or illegal because of that fact – you should be able to simply learn to do as an expert in that field. A Kahuna. A Master.

And any Master of their craft does it with an ease that makes it seem like they were born to do just that. And it’s probably true. For when a person is following their passion, it’s something that they meant to do since they were born (or thereabouts.) But that doesn’t mean you can only have one passion. Many people have several and either master all of them, or shift from one to another, mastering each in turn.

The key point in that is that they do it with ease. That is where Sedona Method comes in. Masters simply release on everything and anything which interrupts or interferes with their practice of their craft. And they live rather calm, peaceful lives. Even if it’s a hut on the beach they have to rebuild every few years. Or if its a stone hut in the glens of Scotland so old that there’s no record of when it was first built. Or the business executive who has been rising through the ranks for 20-30 years and stands a chance of being the COO or CEO soon. Or the administrative assistant who has seen those CEO’s come and go – but knows how to help them all be a success through her mastery of corporate policy and human behavior.

There are Masters who walk this earth and they need not be famous or wealthy or outrageously lucky.

And the reverse is true. People who win lotteries are often bankrupt and further in debt a couple years later – because they never learned how to manage wealth. People who have rented their whole lives aren’t necessarily ready for home ownership. Because a politician is able to get elected doesn’t mean he’s ready to be a statesman.

As well, most people are hampered by popular success – celebrities often no longer have any life of their own once they’ve “made it.” So being a quiet success and having everything you could want is just fine with most people.

My point here is that you are looking for personal freedom, above and beyond any fame or fortune. The society around you worships these ego-traps. That doesn’t mean you have to.

You have to want freedom more than you want the world. And once you get yourself on that route, you’ll walk it right on out. Sure, others may pass you by, or maybe you suddenly attain it in a flash after persuing it for years and years.

And after you Master yourself, then what? Practically, the release technique has been used to help people become millionaires and resolve relationships, and create huge successes. But the people who only used it for those material things wound up in trouble again, sooner or later. Because money, fame, fortune – all these are part of the World. They are not part of Freedom.

Doesn’t mean you’l be broke and lonely – those are also part of this world. When you look for the Freedom, Peace, and Joy which have always lay within you – just waiting to be let out – then the world gives you anything you want. Because you don’t need it anymore.

So: become the Master you already are. Let your light shine.

Not just pieces in a board game: Live for Others in order to Improve Your Own Life http://robertworstell.com/lifestyle-choice/not-just-board-game-live-others-order-improve-your-own-life/#utm_source=feed&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=feed http://robertworstell.com/lifestyle-choice/not-just-board-game-live-others-order-improve-your-own-life/#comments Tue, 03 Nov 2009 17:56:51 +0000 Robert Worstell http://robertworstell.com/?p=772 Game of Life - not another " chest" game

Regardless of the graphic there is really only one way to play the game of life. It’s how you win.

Here’s the bottom line – we are each individually and personally here to evolve, to get better, to make the best of life in this existence that we can.

Now, despite all the various “Laws” which have come up over the years, there is only one which is observed by every known religion, philosophic, and deep thinker on this planet – from time immemorial up to the present moment. Because it can be proved by every single person to exist and work.

“You only get back what you give away.”

And this Law governs all success, all health, all the wants, dreams, and desires any human could expect to be, do, acquire, or attain in any life. It governs everything.

For some, this means “Love your neighbor as yourself.” In other, older versions, “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”

(And there was that famous judge who put an end to the physical interpretation of this by agreeing that they could have their pound of flesh, but they could take only that – no blood or other fluids, nothing else.)

It is the Golden Rule in various versions, the Koran as well as the Bible, as well as ancient Druid texts, Hindu, Egyptian, and even earlier to the oldest philosophies that still survive in remote Polynesian islands.

We are all connected, there are no limits – so this rule says that when you hurt someone else, you hurt yourself, when you help someone else, you help yourself.

If you look at any millionaire, billionaire or better (or worse), you’ll see that their money acquisition was on the backs of making other people rich at the same time. Ray Kroc (founder of McDonald’s chain) made far more millionaires than he could count. Sam Walton’s (Wal-Mart) expanded the sales of his suppliers many times over and was constantly working to improve the quality of life of his customers.

And that is the point to all this. To the degree you want to succeed in business, to get a great amount of income flowing toward you, to have a great home, nice stuff all around you – what do you have to do? What do you have to put your attention on?

The value of the product or service you are giving away.

Now, this doesn’t mean we need to all be paupers. Quite the reverse. The oddest thing is that people won’t value something, won’t really use it, unless they have to give something of value in return. That is really the only reason profitable commerce continues to exist and communism/socialism always fails.

That Rolls Royce or that Cadillac is worth every penny. People will pay more for grass-fed beef which is raised naturally without hormones or excessive growth-producing chemicals – that they know where it came from. They’ll pay several times what it took to create that beef and grow it for the two years it took to get to that size. Several times what they could have paid for that same beef at an auction yard and gotten it processed.

The added value is in bringing that specific product to them in a way they can use it best.

That’s more to our point:

Any business or individual will only succeed
to the exact degree that they help others succeed.

For better or worse, Bill Gates’ billions didn’t arrive without giving a great deal of value to the computer industry and the personal computer buyers. Us, in other words. Take any industry leader and the also-rans. The best, the top of their class always, always gives value in greater quantity than they extract. Sure, there are “other factors” – but that is the key one. (And why Apple and the Linux community hold onto major shares of this market? Even better value.)

Your own success it really just this point:

Whatever it is that you want – help someone else get it, or better, several someone’s. If you want help, help others. If you want to get rich, help others get rich. Want better health? – Work to improve others’ health. There are examples all around of how this works.

The reverse is true – run a ripoff scheme on other people and you can’t hold on to your own money. It’s only temporary. If you want permanent wealth around you – you’ll build wealth for others many times over in advance of your own, or at the same time. Not afterwards. (Ripoff artists and politicians only have to hide when they are hiding something.)

This isn’t a government job, which by definition is always taking something away by threat of force to “help” someone. I’ll dissect government at another time. The deal here: all help is a personal thing. What ever you personally want, you have to help others get it first, or at least at the same time you do. Only then can you really fulfill your desires.

And once you get everything you could possibly want or need? Then just keep helping others learn how to do it for themselves. That’s why all the really rich turn to helping others, even giving all their wealth away (like Buffet, Gates, and earlier, Carnegie, Rockefeller, etc.) Because now that you’re there, what else do you have to do?

And how about those who amassed great fortunes only to die bankrupt — they didn’t follow that Golden Rule. Help others all the time. Every way you can.

That’s the only way out of this human existence we share on this planet at this time. Remember, Jesus said that “Heaven is within you.” And hell-on-earth is just ignoring this one rule.

Your choice.

Here’s some options from Amazon for playing the game of life…

Releasing the Master Within http://robertworstell.com/sedona-method/releasing-the-master-within/#utm_source=feed&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=feed http://robertworstell.com/sedona-method/releasing-the-master-within/#comments Sat, 15 Aug 2009 21:54:19 +0000 Robert Worstell http://robertworstell.com/?p=644 personal development What next after you get all the wealth, happiness, health, and general success you want?

Still listening to older Levenson tapes about the Sedona Method. An series called “On Sleep and Awakening.”

The recurring point that Levenson makes is that you are untapped potential, all the abilities, power, ease, happiness, joy, talent – all these are already present. You can have these anytime you want.

The only trick is letting go of your own limitations which are keeping these from showing up. He covers that these are all held in the mind, and that to rid yourself of your mind allows all these to show up.

Now, this runs a foul of most of the self-help guru’s out there. But let me tell you of a simple scam which is running: if you don’t want freedom more than you want the world, then you’ll continue to change your mind but wind up back where you started. If you are constantly buying into these various techniques which allow you to “become” successful, or “become” happy – you are just going to have to continue spending your money on these guys.

These don’t work or work to the exact degree they enable you to control and vanquish your own mind.

There is a lot written about meditation, and the extreme practice of spending hours trying to quiet the mind through sheer discipline under the mantra of “don’t think”. Of course, this is much like “try not to think of a pink elephant” and a pink elephant automatically occurs.

Levenson’s Sedona Method allows you to simply release yourself from the effects of the mind and so the mind quiets.

Sure, the mind had its use – and we’ve managed to evolve this far through using it. And it was time for someone to make the breakthrough so we could get off that crutch. Essentially, the mind has become a bad habit and can simply be reformed by replacing that habit with a new one. That new one should be toward developing your own intuitive sense as you continue to quiet the mind.

And intuition is always there, under the surface. You just have to get quiet enough to hear it’s voice.

This is part of letting your own Master to the surface. You are already a Master, and you only have to rise to this state. While many are looking for a one-shot wonder to appear in their lives, you don’t have to wait.

As you continue to release, you will find more and more native abilities showing up. Your life becomes more joyous and happy and successful – because that is the native state you’ve always had within you.

There is a lot more to cover on this, but these simple points will do for now. Release your own Master by releasing continually during the day. And your life gets simpler meanwhile. Happiness and Success are native. Learn to let them come to the surface.
