Getting from Here to Where You Want to Be – Achieving Goals

Lego Action Comics #1 by levork.(Part II of this series – Last post: Theme-ing your Life Goals)

Recap”: What we are working for is total self-actualization, satori, enlightenment, illumination – that sort of thing. Straight up to the top at some effortless, miracles-as-usual band of Beingness.

Between where you are now and that high point is today’s subject matter. Specifically, how to get from here to there.

More recap: :You’ll be getting into high action levels, but effective ones. And the most effective levels are to do the most possible for the most people you can. Improve humankind conditions.

This doesn’t mean you need to be poor and starving, or nobly broke all the time. Far from it. Some of the most successful guru’s, life coaches, and self-improvement preachers are also multi-millionaires. Few that you’ve heard about aren’t, in fact. And just because they make a lot of money doesn’t mean they’re scammers, either.

They all know how this universe is set up – and it’s built on abundance.

Here’s the straightest line to success:

By setting and achieving goals.

But that’s the catch – or several. Because when you look up this subject, people are just constantly talking to you about the mechanics of setting goals, and not about spiritual side of it – the side that actually will drag your attitude down if it’s not set right.

And with a bad or insufficient attitude, your boat can’t even leave the dock without sinking.

Programs to take you to your goal

Silva Method: I recommend this version (Bob Stone’s recordings on Nightingale-Conant) because they are very direct. The first key point is to be able to get into a high alpha meditative state on an immediate basis. With a little practice (and the three-finger method described on the fourth recording, where you’ll also hear their approach to goals) you can get into this state in seconds.

Larry Crane: The Levenson release technique is your next series of steps to take. Look up Crane’s 10th recording, which matches page 28 of his workbook.  This jumps you ahead on releasing, but gives you the breakdown on how to word a goal so it’s actually attainable.

What keeps you from your goals are the desires, feelings, and thinking that goes around you all the time. You drop the thoughts, drop the feelings which cause them, then go right down to drop the insatiable desires below them. Crane tells you more specifically how to do this.

Hale Dwoskin devotes an entire seminar on this over at his sedona.com, called Effortless Creating. And has some great techniques down this line. But Crane will get you started.

Now, the reason you “go to Level” first is to follow Levenson’s statement – “Don’t release to get high, go high to release.” You get into an enhanced mental level to release more deeply and thoroughly.

Now, back to Silva. This time, another Nightingale-Conant Silva series by Wickett, Bernd, Romero, and Lytle. It’s on the last recording, CD 8. In this recording, you are told how to determine your purpose in life. Essentially, meditate on what you are doing and consult with Higher Intelligence as you go. Watch for coincidences in your life, the little synchronicities which tell you that this is the right route for you. Look for answers through your connection and intuition.

Here’s a short cut to this: GatewayDowsers.org has a 9-lesson series on Silva UltraMind. You want their lesson 8, which covers Goals.

The underlying “trick” to this is that you are connecting to your spiritual Self. The more you connect, the more you can get the benefits of all the knowledge available there. That’s the whole point with “Remote Viewing” and “Quantum Jumping” and so on.

There is a reason why just a very small handful of people control most of the wealth on this planet. And that same reason shows why there are another very small group of people who are simply living very easy lives with all the abundance they want in their lives. They are connected to the spiritual plane by their intuition. And they work for improving conditions on Planet Earth.

- – - -

The bottom line is that you keep on a high level with Silva Methods, and then Levenson release technique to get rid of all the mental garbage you’ve stacked up. These two in combination are unstoppable.

I’ve given you a lot to digest here. And lots of material to cover. But the point here is to get this data and achieve your goals.

After this point, you can study Huna (Max Freedom Long) and all the New Thought Authors such as Thomas Troward, Charles Haanel, Napoleon Hill, or Wallace Wattles. And there are tons more, such as Genevieve Behrend, Charles Bristol, William Walker Atkinson. When you study these older texts (some over 100 years old) you can apply the modern Levenson and Silva methods to quickly achieve what they could only accomplish in a handful of dedicated people before this.

There are no limits to the goals you can achieve.

Just know, again, that goals are just steps to the higher level of self-actualization.

So Be the best Self you can.

See you at the top…

Learn Simple Secret to Power of Positive Thinking

sedona method Getting from Here to Where You Want to Be – Achieving Goals

If you’ve ever had a problem trying to “stay positive” or “control your negative thoughts”, you know what a hassle trying to apply Positive Thinking in your life.

Because they don’t tell you why it doesn’t always work.

It’s really quite simple to explain. You can take a jelly sandwich and make it into a peanut butter and jelly sandwich by putting some peanut butter. However, you can’t take it back to a peanut butter sandwich without some serious jelly removal, if not total bread replacement.

Too graphic? But that’s the way this works – seriously.

Look, most people have a lot of bad habits in thinking negatively about things all the time. Now they pick up a book or see an inspirational video saying all they have to do is “think positive” and everything will work out. Or just start repeating positive affirmations like a mantra.

Doesn’t really work that way. What do they then do with all these negative thoughts they’ve been practicing day in and day out for most of their lifetime to date? Just thinking positive doesn’t make them go away. You don’t change negative attitudes into positive attitudes overnight.

These self improvement guru’s tell you to add positive thoughts or affirmations – and now you have both positive AND negative thinking going on. Great. You want to use your mind power effectively.

Obviously, you have to start eliminating or defusing the negative thinking to make positive thinking actually work. It’s not just a question of piling on more mental habits to try to “crowd out” the ones you don’t want.

But here’s the secret: You normally think positive. That’s right. When you release the negative thinking, the positive starts showing up more and more.

How do you release that negative, habitual thinking? Sedona Method.

Like a dark room, you don’t start shoveling out the darkness. The solution is to turn on a light. Sedona releasing starts letting your natural brilliance shine. And the dark starts disappearing as you do. Your natural positive attitudes start taking over.

You can use the Hale Dwoskin or Larry Crane courses or books to do this. Or you can also get the original Lester Levenson data off the Internet.

But the secret to applying the Power of Positive Thinking is to simply get rid of the negative as you do. Sure, practice at being positive all day long. It really does wonders. But quit batting bat negative thoughts when they occur, or trying to cover them over with more positive ones. Simply let the negative ones go. Accept them and release them. Too easy.

And now, all you’ve read about using the Law of Attraction and other methods built on positive feelings and thinking can actually start working for you.

Cheers!

Dark Clouds or Silver Lining – How’s Your Nightmares doing?

Photo: tipiro

What do you dream about? How do you look at life? How well do you sleep at night?

What “pops into” your mind, what you dream about – all these things are the result of how you thought in the past, how you’ve programmed your own mind to think.

But the good thing about this is that in order to change what you think about all the time, you just have to change what you’re thinking about now.

OK, let me fill in the logic of all this.

Your thinking process is composed of mental habits you’ve adopted. Shortcuts so you don’t have to re-figure out how to do things. Chronic anything, bad or good, is just a mental habit – a pattern you adopted.

Any habit can be changed. It takes about four weeks of regular action on a new line of thought. If you want to wake up smiling in the morning, all you have to do is to immediately start smiling first thing every morning for 30 days.

Hating whoever is currently President is also the same result – at some point, you’ve started assuming that this person couldn’t be trusted, so everything that person did or said was untrustworthy. And every thought about that person which comes up is tainted negative.

The trick is that when you pursue the negative about anything, you get more negatives showing up in your life.

To the degree you work on the positive, optimistic approach to anything, you wind up getting more good things into your life.

See Christian Larson’s books on this subject. This was the guy who wrote was was later adopted by Optimists International as their creed.

A recent earlier post here told you that a negative is only a misapplied positive – that you don’t shovel out the darkness, but turn on a light (an old, old proverb I first ran across in Haanel’s “Master Key System”)

And the reason I’m up in the middle of my night writing this is some sort of mental loop which kept giving me a “nightmare”.

But being rational, I saw that this was my own fault – I had adopted some sort of mental habit which was bringing me these “bad” thoughts – about some elected politicians, of all things.

Now this doesn’t mean I have to find good things to think about the government or our elected politicians (a clear, un-biased, logical explanation of how government and politicians actually work can be found at TOLFA.us, if you’re interested in sorting out your thoughts in this area.) My own personal policy on this was best summed up by Jesus: “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s…”

This is why I’ve always worked with individuals directly, in all the years I spent as a counselor and personal consultant – and now as a book writer/editor/publisher.

Any person – you, me, the people around us – they all can control their own thoughts on an immediate and longer-term (chronic) basis. All you have to do is to practice positive thinking to get more positive results in your life. While Dr. Norman Vincent Peale became famous for a book by this name, I’d suggest you read Larson above, or get a copy of Earl Nightingale’s Strangest Secret to understand more of the theory and practice of this idea.

“You become what you think about all day long” – that’s Nightingale’s simple statement of what he found in an old Napoleon Hill book he found in a Chicago used-book store.

If you are having nightmares, or bad thoughts entering your head during the day, you may want to change your attitudes toward whatever you’ve been thinking about.

If you are “stressed-out” over something (which is the prime reason for the bulk of dis-ease which settles in a body, proved over and over by a multitude of scientific studies) – this stress is arguably too many negative thought accumulated as habits in your mind.

All you have to do is to start changing how you think right now in order to change those “bad” thoughts which keep coming in on you.

Start smiling and you’ll start getting happier thoughts entering. You’ll find more happy things to think about. If you develop this as a simple method of approaching life, then you will start finding many better, more optimal solutions to the problems which come into your life.

And if you encourage others around you to smile when they face adversity – and to encourage others around them to do the same – our whole society could evolve quite rapidly.

Because life operates exactly as Earl Nightingale pointed out: You become what you think about. And his own prescription follows this – get a note card and write out on it exactly what you want to achieve, but write it in the past tense as if you’ve already achieved it. Now, on the other side of this card write the three lines from the Sermon on the Mount, “Seek and ye shall find, Ask and it will be given, Knock and it shall be opened unto you.” And then read that card – both sides – several times every day for 30 days.

That is the way life works, isn’t it? If you are looking for answers, you find them. If you are asking for trouble, it comes your way.

If you have nightmares, get up and start thinking about some great things you’d like to bring into your life. (And if you have a government job, you might consider finding a more optimistic line of work…)

But the more you think about the great things coming into your life, the more likely these great things will come to pass.

And if you cherish your nightmares, and like to lead a life out of a Stephen King novel – well, I’m not going to tell you to change anything… Life is full of choices and your current condition is only and directly the result of choices you’ve made. Any chronic condition you are experiencing – good health or bad, riches or poverty, happiness or sadness – these are all the result of choices you’ve made, which all began with how you chose your thoughts.

Take this advice: choose to change your mind. Put your attention on the most positive side of anything you face, how you can turn any adversity into your advantage. This is how you can win at anything you attempt. Look up winners and you’ll find that this was their constant attitude during any competition or effort – they only had attention on that positive goal they were going after.

I could go on for hours on this subject.

The deal, the bottom line is you. What you think right now determines your life and what happens to you from here on out. Fill your thoughts constantly with the negative aspects of the world around you and it will turn sour. Constantly find the optimistic side – that silver lining behind every dark cloud – and your life will be filled with joy.

Chose wisely. It’s your life you’re running from here on out.
