Sedona Method: Most of this Universe is over-thought

Most of this universe is overthought – including this statement.

Similar to that old Star Trek show, where he lies to the computer in order to get it to blow up. Tells it everything he says is a lie, including what he just said.

Was just introduced to the Sedona Method and can see that this revises a great deal of what I’ve covered up to this point. And it also means a substantial revision to “Go Thunk Yourself” book series.

Because the world and universe are much, much simpler than we have been thinking. In fact, this is the first serious exception I’ve taken with Earl Nightingale’s “Strangest Secret” recording. He started this off with quoting Albert Schweitzer, stating the biggest problem in the world is that people simply don’t think.

My conclusion is the opposite: that people think too much – they over-think their solutions to things.

A great deal of money is spent on meditation classes where they teach you to calm the mind and don’t think. For most, this is impossible – and the reason is in that phrase “don’t think.” This actually invites you to think, to think about thinking, think about why you’re thinking about thinking, thinking about how to stop thinking about thinking…. It just is one long rabbit hole.

Wayne Dyer probably had the best solution to this – simply accept the thoughts which show up and let them go. But that resolution is straight out of what is taught in Sedona.

Sedona simply teaches you to just let go of various feelings and mental noise which has been cluttering up your life. That’s really all there is to it. Now, there are many, many applications for this – and they have ongoing classes and seminars which you can attend to simply learn this. Mostly they push a 20-some CD series with all the data you need.

But the free download you can get by signing up with their site actually teaches you the basics and you can work out the rest for yourself if you want.

Most of this stuff on government, taxes, corporate interests, everything in this world it seems – are all over-thought and complicated beyond belief.

The route to unlimited inspiration lies through letting all the noise of this universe drop away and simply listen to the ideas the Universe is bringing you all the time. This means that you can actually attain and have anything you want in life. And the Sedona Method is used by more than half of the original 24 teachers in “The Secret” – so if you recall that phrase from that movie, this is the bottom line to it.

But until you are at peace with yourself, you won’t be able to really find what your passion is in life and what you should be doing with it. And until you can follow your passion (follow your bliss) in life, then the real rewards  you’ve been looking for will continue to slip through your fingers.

Simply – quit over-thinking your own life.

Get the free MP3 download by signing up with the Sedona Method and find out for yourself. You can always delete them if you don’t like them, and unsubscribe from their newsletter. And they only cost you download bandwidth.

I don’t recommend very many products – but this is one of them. It’s working for me. So you deserve to know.

    Hi Robert,
I enjoyed your thoughtful observations about money vs service. I have noticed over the years that it continues to be a conflict for many people in the healing and service professions. To identify myself, I have been an Independent Sedona Instructor for many years, and I work in a very small groups or individual releasing coaching, but in a deep way with people. It isn’t money-driven, but truth and heart-driven. I love a simple life and to guide people into simplicity is a service I love as well. Love, is simple.

I have found that Truth doesn’t need improving and can never be ‘new’ however much money is made in this life with ‘new and improved’ products regardless of the business. In my own experience in teaching the effortless approach of releasing and letting go, the heart of service brings great joy to ourselves as we serve others through letting go ourselves, Often the true goal gets lost in the flurry of thinking about the thinking and the feelings. Yes over-thinking gets people SO very stuck and further away from what the original idea was in the first place.

The answers are not in the mind, but we do use the mind only to redirect our attention into what is happening now–into presence. Thoughts and feelings will flow through us until our last breath but that isn’t who and what we are at our core. Until we can surrender what is untrue and redirect our attention toward that loving core, we suffer.

The true work of letting go and the original idea of this Sedona work is to ALLOW what is to be OK, and whatever is in the way of that inner peace, can be let go of with ease, once seen. Instead we fight, we resist, and we don’t like things the way they are. This causes conflict. It is very Zen, when offered with wisdom and allowing others to have their own experience. It is to see, be open, and let what is naturally flowing to flow every more. What is that? Our own life-force energy. I fiercely protect my students from others thinking they know what is going on within them or judging what they ‘think’ they feel or what ‘program’ may be operating. That is folly, for the greatest surprise as a teacher is to allow what is going on within someone to be revealed to them, and then to me. Then self-discovery is safe.

The way I offer releasing, and I have used it or assisted others for nearly 30 years, and taught it in seminars or retreats for a couple of decades, is to help people SEE what is actually going on within them. Simply tell the truth, and be present with what is happening. In doing this, the focus is activated to NOW, the willingness and ease to admit what is going on relaxes, the overwhelm of misdirection in trying to figure things out dissolves, and the releasing simply begins to flow again.

It is true, that Wayne says…just let what ever is going to be OK, and let it go, however most people don’t know the HOW for they are ‘working it’ from their head. HeartWisdom aka Sedona Method work in the way I offer it (as a licensed instructor by the woman who developed it and trained us in the first place), is about merging these two places within us and when led by the heart, using the power of the divine intelligence that is within everyone when we just relax and tune in and listen, we move much better through our world. Heart-centered rather than head-centered is paramount in resting into the ease of letting go as we once did it as children.

Thank you for your insights, and if something makes us get complicated, spinning, and confused, it just may be us going in a direction that is NOT helping us get to simplicity:) It IS simple. Also, a confused mind holds on, and a simple one, lets go. We either hold on, or we let go. We know when we are doing which one, for we are either happy and relaxed, or stressed and unhappy in some way. Not rocket science, but releasing from the heart allows us to be deeply relaxed and at peace. Most of my own work is to help people get unstuck from the complication, ironically, for it is actually…I say again, very simple.

I feel that I am actually giving people the KEYS to their own wisdom, freedom, and the true secret to their own heart! Now THAT is joy. We use the acronym KISS which Virginia coined over 40 years ago..Keep It Simple Sweetheart!
    Namaste and Many Blessings,
    Namaste Jeannie

Robert, you speak very true words in this post. Over-thinking is a trap that the majority of people in the world fall into. The prime trouble in over-thinking is that the mind is programmed to find problems. When it does not find any, it simply creates imaginary problems so it can “get to work” solving something. This pattern, over the course of many years, creates a situation where the mind is constantly gnawing away at our lives! We toil over all these imaginary problems.

The Sedona Method is a fantastic tool to end this pattern and liberate ourselves from all of the unnecessary suffering. It also allows us to operate from our intuitive knowingness as opposed to the normal reactive stance. Great stuff!

    All the best!
